Ascarate Park will be receiving 90 trees that will be planted at the park, the El Paso County Parks and Recreation Department announced.
The generous donation will be received from two local organizations: Downtown El Paso Lions Club and Eco El Paso.
The donation was accepted at El Paso County Commissioners Court when they recognized “National Arbor Day” in late April.
The El Paso Downtown Lions Club invited Master Gardeners and Eco El Paso to help with the planting.
