Eco El Paso is proud to partner with National Drive Electric Week to host a yearly event celebrating Electric Vehicles.
National Drive Electric Week, Sep 25-Oct 3, 2021, is a nationwide celebration to raise awareness of the many benefits of all-electric and plug-in hybrid cars, trucks, motorcycles, and more. They are fun to drive, are less expensive and more convenient to fuel than gasoline vehicles, are better for the environment, promote local jobs, and reduce our dependence on foreign oil. Are you considering going electric? Come talk to owners who have successfully done so!
Each year, National Drive Electric Week includes hundreds of events in communities across the United States and around the world. This year, for the 10th annual National Drive Electric Week, we will be adding online events for the first time.
Each year, Eco El Paso partners with NDEW to host an event in El Paso to educate the public about Electric Vehicles from local EV owners who drive them every day. This is a great way to learn about EV's with no pressure to buy and creates an informal setting to learn more, ask questions, and possibly test drive an EV if the owners will allow it. This year our event will be Virtual and spread over a few days with different speakers, but we can't wait until 2021 to be back in person. See you soon El Paso!
We can't wait to see you at the 2021 NDEW Festival hosted by Eco El Paso.
We can't wait to see you at the 2021 National Drive Electric Week Festival hosted by Eco El Paso!
Started in 2011 as National Plug In Day with the simple idea to hold simultaneous events across the country on the same day, by popular demand we have expanded to an entire week of events and changed the name to emphasize the thing we all want to do: drive electric. We expect National Drive Electric Week 2021 will again grow to include more events in more cities with more drivers reaching out to share the many advantages of driving electric with the public.
Each event is led by local plug-in drivers and advocates and typically includes some combination of EV parades, ride-and-drives, electric tailgate parties, press conferences, award ceremonies, informational booths, and more. Plug In America, Sierra Club, and the Electric Auto Association serve as the national team providing support to the events throughout the country. We are pleased to partner with the many other organizations and individuals working to bring National Drive Electric Week to communities across the country.
Eco El Paso is the local nonprofit that will partner with NDEW each year to host an EV event for our community in West Texas and Southern New Mexico.
