As the end of year approaches, we would like to thank our donors, members, supporters, all-volunteer board members, and volunteers across the El Paso region. We would like to ask for your support again as we enter the last month of a very tough year for the world. If possible, please consider donating to Eco El Paso. Whether it’s $5 or $500, every dollar helps and we give 100% of our funding back toward community projects.
GivingTuesday was created in 2012 as a simple idea: a day that encourages people to do good. It is now an independent nonprofit and a global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity. Whether it’s making someone smile, helping a neighbor or stranger out, showing up for an issue or people we care about, or giving some of what we have to those who need our help, every act of generosity counts, and everyone has something to give. In an era of global crisis and disconnection, we need new rituals to connect us. As the world’s largest giving movement, we believe we can go further, faster when we unleash generosity together.
GivingTuesday strives to build a world in which the catalytic power of generosity is at the heart of the society we build together, unlocking dignity, opportunity and equity around the globe. They believe that generosity leads to greater civic participation and other pro-social behaviors.
