PACE in El Paso

PACE (Property Assessed Clean Energy)

is an innovative financing program that enables owners of commercial and industrial properties to obtain low-cost, long-term loans for water conservation, energy-efficiency improvements, and renewable retrofits. Senate Bill 385 authorized municipalities and counties in Texas to work with private sector lenders and property owners to finance qualified improvements using contractual assessments voluntarily imposed on the property by the owner.  EEP is starting a campaign to promote implementation of a PACE program in our region.  We propose to do this by organizing presentations to our communities and important stakeholders with the goal of creating a momentum not only for better and more efficient energy and water use but also for market and economic development.
